It’s been ten years since September 11, 2001. Today one of my coworkers, Ginny, who was flying in the air with me that fateful day, sent me a text: “We will always be bonded by the events of 9/11. Stay safe my friend.” And as I watched the tribute on TV, I started to tear up again. I remember it distinctly. The world has changed so much since that horrible day in history. Rather than recount that story here, I’ve already written a post in 2008 telling my story of that day. If you’d like to read my story, click here for the 2008 9/11 post. Lest we forget.
And I Helped…
Out of Sight…Out of Murder opened last week at the Woodbury Sketch Club Players, and I helped. That’s right folks. I was the assistant director. (Yup, that’s how they announced it, “dog killer.” And yes, he is a dog killer.)
The news broadcast started with the same “dog killer” title and went into details about Vick’s arrest and the violent treatment that dogs suffered at his hands. They continued on about how he had spent 18 months in jail and how many speculated he would never play football again. But play he will and for the Philadelphia Eagles, none-the-less… Continue reading
I was visiting a new blog I discovered on Blog Catalog, Strawberry Fields Forever, and I came across a post for creating your own magazine covers. How could I resist? So I hit the link and within less than a minute I was uploading a picture of my daughter at Scrapplefest last year. How cute. She’d probably kill me if she knew I did this.
I recommend checking out the Strawberry Fields Forever blog. And if you don’t know what Scrapple is, please check my blog archives.
