Merry SITSmas

We wish you a Merry Christmas
And a Happy Holiday too,
For whatever holiday you celebrate
In the way you choose to do.
We hope it brings you happiness
and good times for one and all
May the season be full of kindess
And joys, both big and small.
May the love of this holiday season
Bring only good times and cheer
May you savor in the joy of giving
And may it last throughout the year.
Happy Holidays from Preston and Heather
Season’s Greetings to the SITS blog hosts
May the winner of the $200 Target Gift Card
Truly need it the mosts.
(ok, so mosts isn’t proper, but it rhymes doesn’t it?)
The first picture is of Chip, Heather, and I in 1984. Looking back at it, I remember just how much I was in love with that man. It saddens me to think that it did not last, even though it did last 13 1/2 years.  The next picture is me and my daughter, Heather, from Christmas 1988. The third one is us from Christmas 2007, nineteen years later.  And yes, those are HUGE eyeglasses and yes, that is the remnants of a mullet!

    Merry SITSmas, Preston!

Your daughter is beautiful! No worries about those glasses. You should see mine when I don’t my contacts in! 😉

  6. Preston says:

Jewelstreet – Merry SITSmas to you! And thanks for the compliments about my daughter. And the glasses, well it was the 80’s!

Dave – If you are talking about the guy with the big wave of hair in the front of his head and the even bigger glasses, then you are probably right. I had the hots for him. Hahahaha

Tiffany – Merry SITSmas to you!

  7. Lidian says:

What great pictures these are – and your daughter is gorgeous. And you look way too young to have an adult daughter.

I had really big glasses in the 80s, and they were heavy too. I am so glad glasses are so thin and light now.

  8. Preston says:

Meg – Merry SITSmas to you too!

Lidian – Thanks for the compliments. And I am so glad that small glasses are in style now. Those big ones were awful!

  9. mongoliangirl says:

Things may not have worked out with your guy…but I like it that you and your daughter are clearly constant. She’s a doll.
You’re the happiest guy on, earth aren’t you? Thanks for a post that made me smile.
(my verification word is “supstyl”…just like you…super style!)

  11. Preston says:

Erin, Nick & Merrick – Merry SITSmas to you too!

Lifeinbeverlyhills – Thanks for the compliments. Merry SITSmas.

Mongoliangirl – I don't regret my time with Chip. When it was good, it was really good. And Heather and I are very close. I'm a lucky dad. Oh, I'm not the happiest guy on earth but it sure helps if you act like you are. 🙂

Babette – Thanks. I wish I was young enough to be a sibling. Hugs back atcha!

It’s like you’re a master of disguise! You put my darth vader mask to shame!

You have a beautiful “little” girl and I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE your tie.

You’re a poet and didn’t even know it.

  13. Preston says:

It was fun watching your beautiful daughter grow up. And have barely aged! And very nice work on the poem! I hope you have a fabulous SITSMAS!!!

  15. Preston says:

Nikiicrumpet – Thanks for the compliments and I’m glad you liked the poem. I do plan on a fabulous SITSmas and I hope you have one too.

Hey now…I’m not exempt from this contest!! I’m just a lowly seasonal employee trying to rake in some Christmas cash.

    Stinker! :p

Great post! You are the first Man SITS blogger I have come across. so that would make you a DudeSITS or a WhoSITS or maybe a SITSBro..hmmmm I’ll have to work on that, lol

  17. Denise says:

I’m sorry the photo brings back bittersweet memories. But I’m wishing you much happiness during the holiday season and for 2009!

    Merry SITSmas!

  18. Preston says:

Marshmallow Circus – You’re welcome and a Merry SITSmas to you too!

I Live…therefore I consume – Hey, I sure sounded official, didn’t I? I know about trying to rake in some Christmas cash too cause my cupboards are bare. And the gals at SITS call me a BITS (Brother in the Sauce).

Denise – Don’t be sorry. I don’t regret anything. And thank you for your sweet wishes and right back atcha!

  19. Heather says:

I’m enjoying your tie in the last picture. It’s so festive!! You two look like a couple of super models posing by that tree. No, seriously, what a fun idea to post pictures through the years. I love it!! Merry SITSmas!!

  22. Renée aka Mekhismom says:

Merry SITSmas! This is my first visit here and not the last. Wow – what a throwback photo! I remember the eighties well.

Tara & Rachel – Merry SITSmas and glad you like the pics.

Annie – Nooooo! No big glasses anymore. I won't wear them. LOL

  26. Heather says:

Merry SITSmas and happy holidays to you!

Sorry to be a bit belated, but apparently all the singing I did over on my blog yesterday gave me a migraine. Okay, it wasn’t the singing (I mean, I’m *always* singing…) but I wound up with a migraine nonetheless! So, I’m making the rounds today and typing with fingers crossed that the last handful of meds I took will do the trick so I can get on with my day!

Love the “picture trip down memory lane” – if that is your actual tree and living room in last year’s photo, I’m jealous! It was lovely, as were you and your daughter! 🙂

Cheers to the only BITS I know! 😀

  27. Preston says:

Heather – I hope you are feeling better. Migrane’s are awful. Glad you enjoyed the photos but no, that is not my tree or living room. We always have live trees and you can tell its my living room from the 3 inches of dog hair on EVERYTHING! Merry SITSmas from a BITS!

  28. Preston says:

Mommytoalot – Catch up is cool. I’m glad you like my blog cause I like yours too. Welcome to SITS. You’re gonna love it!

  29. Carrie says:

Merry SITSmas a little late! I’m still working my way through the links!

What a gorgeous gal and a handsome man! Don’t we all have those pictures of us where we wonder, “What the HONK was I thinking??” I know I do! Like my three-foot tall hair from the late 80’s! YIKES!!

  30. Preston says:

Carrie – It’s never too late to say Merry SITSmas! Thanks for the comments and didn’t all gals have huge hair in the 80’s?

  31. Tiffany says:

    I’m late, but here!

Merry SITSmas.. I love the pics… look at your beautiful daughter.

I swear, you look so familiar!

  32. Preston says:

Tiffany – I’m glad you made it but I sure don’t know how you do it. LOL Thanks for the compliments and when I was in my very early 20’s, people told me I looked like John Ritter.

  33. Taylor says:

Preston – Brini Maxwell is a fictional character/drag queen who does fab crafts and entertaining with 60’s mod style. Your previous blogger image is small, but I thought it was of Brini Maxwell.

  34. Preston says:

Taylor – That is way too funny. I had no idea who Brini Maxwell is so does that make me a bad gay? LOL I have no idea where I found that image either but I fell in love with it immediately. Now I need to do some research on Brini Maxwell. Who knows? Maybe it was her. 🙂

  35. So Not Mom-a-licious says:

Please tell me you still have the tie! That could be a family heirloom you know! I think you have a great blog! Merry SITSmas!

  36. Preston says:

Janah – I sure do have that tie. In fact, last night I was looking at it trying to decide if I wanted to wear it to the company Christmas party next week. LOL

  37. littleeverydaythings says:

Merry belated SITSmas! I love all of your old photos – especially your funny comments 😉 I think my favorite is the pleather pants look. I’m sure it’s making a comeback, so be ready. The photos of you and your daughter are cute too.

  38. Preston says:

Little Everyday Things – Merry belated SITSmas to you too. Thanks for your compliments. I really did love those pleather pants but I think I’d need to lose 20 lbs in order to fit in them again!
